Taken January 10, 2005

Since July 2, 1977 we have been the Miller Family. Seth is our oldest, he is 27 years old, then Sarah, 24, David, 22, Daniel, 13, Esther, 10, and Elisabeth, 9. Yes, we know that sounds like a big family, but we wouldn't know what to do without any one of them. We have traveled quite a bit in the Eastern United States singing and preaching. We have been missionaries in the country of Old Mexico.

We have lived in Mexico two different times. We went first in 1989 and were able to help start an independent Baptist church in Monterrey, which is about 150 miles south of the border. We returned to Mexico in August 1996 with the intention of trying to start another local church. Circumstances didn't permit us to stay and accomplish our goal. We believe God had a purpose in our stay there and also has other plans for us. We sincerely hope that those plans include letting us go back to Mexico some day. We love the Mexican people and pray the Lord will allow us to minister to them as He sees fit.

We believe in and preach the old fashioned way of salvation, which includes repentance. We do not believe in a salvation that does not include turning from sin. Believing is not a one-time act, but a continual lifestyle. Any other kind of believing is not saving faith.

We believe in old fashioned holiness in the life of the believer. Without holiness no man shall see the Lord. It is practical and not imaginary or hypothetical. A Christian CAN have victory over sin in this life. We believe that the modern emphasis on  "O, wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death" is not the message of the real Gospel of Christ. The real message of the Gospel is better expressed by the words of Charles Wesley's hymn "And Can It Be?"

"Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature's night,
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray,
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free;
I rose, went forth, and followed thee."
